Day 1: Arrival

Arrive at Muscat International Airport and transfer to Majan Continental Muscat.

Overnight stay at Majan Continental Muscat

Day 2: Half Day Muscat City Tour

Muscat offers the visitor a unique opportunity to witness a modern commercial centre existing in harmony with its traditional culture. With its natural harbor, Muscat means “Anchorage” & lies in a natural volcanic bowl. Our tour of the Grand Mosque (except Friday) & Bait Al Zubair Museum (except Friday) is a brief introduction that traces Oman’s history and development. Drive along the waterfront Corniche visiting the Fish Market & the colorful Muttrah Souq. We proceed for a photo stop to the magnificent Al Alam Palace, official palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani & Jalali.

Day 3: Muscat - Coastal Road to Ras Al Had

At 0800 hrs we depart to Ras Al Junaiz via the scenic and rugged coastal route. This tour offers breathtaking glimpses of the blue waters of the Gulf of Oman offset by pristine white beaches.
We drive past the fishing village of Quriyat. There is a good chance of spotting Flamingos and Eagles at an inland stream. We then proceed to the Bimah sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. On clear sunny days while driving along the coast one might chance to see sharks in the deep blue waters or fleet footed Gazelles sprint across the landscape.
As we continue from here the road winds through mountain terrain offering breathtaking glimpses of the blue waters of the ocean enroute.

Arrive Sur and visit the fish jetty and dhow factory. Check into the hotel.

At night we have a  drive to the Ras Al Jinz Scientific Centre where we are escorted to the beach by trained guides to watch the turtles coming into nest on the sands.

Day 4: Ras Al Had - Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba

0800 Hrs : we proceed to visit Wadi Bani Khalid. It comprises of small pretty villages embedded in the mountains. The Wadi has clear deep blue water. It is advisable to wear light comfortable clothing and walking shoes.  After having enjoyed your time at the Wadi, we proceed to Wahiba Sands.

Transfer to Arabian Oryx Camp.

The Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand and dunes rising up to 200 meters are also host to a variety of flora and fauna. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. Experience a roller coaster like feeling as our experienced drivers drive you over the dunes. The Wahiba Sands is also home to the traditional Bedouin tribe who are known for their hospitality and their knowledge of the sands. We will stop by a Bedouin family in their traditional and simple habitat.

Dinner and Overnight stay at Arabian Oryx Camp .

Day 5: Wahiba - Birkat Al Mauz - Nizwa

0800 Hrs: Transfer from Arabian Oryx Camp to Birkat al Mouz.   We stop at the pretty village of Birkat Al Mauz situated at the foothills of Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountains). Enjoy a walk through its oasis and dense date plantations.

Nizwa, capital of the interior, is the birthplace of Islam in the Sultanate of Oman. Nizwa boasts of the famous Round Tower Fort, built in the 17th century, and its Souq renowned for its Friday cattle auction, intricately hand-carved “Khanjars” (daggers) & ornamental silver jewellery.

Overnight stay at Al Diyar Hotel.

Day 6: Nizwa - Al Hamra - Tanouf - Misfah – Nizwa

0800 hrs: Depart for the Al Hamra village date plantations. Visit the stone house village of Misfah. Visit Misfah a pretty mountain village with stone dwellings still in existence. Then we depart for Jabrin, the finest of Oman’s castles built in the late 17th century became a seat of Omani learning. The castle displays the highest achievement in Omani ceiling painting & beautifully executed woodcarvings.  After our visit to Jabreen Castle, proceed to visit Bahla Fort which has been declared as a World Heritage site.

Overnight stay at Al Diyar Hotel.

Day 7: Mountain crossing and drive to Millennium Mussannah

0800 hrs: morning tour to Nizwa Friday Market( Only on Fridays)  before head all the way to Mussannah Resort for Rest. Drive through Wadi Bani Auf, Bilat syet etc.

Overnight stay at Millennium Resort Mussanah.

Day 8: MUSSANAH-Barka Fish Market, Nakhl Fort Spring return to Millennium

Proceed to Barka Fish Souq located by the seaside.  Later drive through the date palms and stop at the Nakhl springs and enjoy a walk through the village with its date palms and Falaj system.. At the springs one can observe the local folk.  Visit the Nakhl fort ( Photo stop)  perched on a rocky outcrop. Head back to Mussannah

Day 09: Departure transfer

Transfer from Millennium Resort Mussanah to Muscat International Airport.
